Join Carol Rozek and The Cognitive Defender for individual or group firearm safety classes to become informed, armed and ready. The Cognitive Defender provides students with the confidence to take their safety into their own hands.

Carol is a certified USCCA Firearms Instructor, NRA Instructor and Range Safety Officer, as well as a Well Armed Woman Instructor. She is also a co-leader for the Eugene, Oregon chapter of The Well Armed Woman.

Class Summary
Taught in a co-ed format, this is a comprehensive course designed to lay the groundwork for basic pistol handling, ammunition, clearing malfunctions, selecting and storing a firearm, and most importantly, handgun safety.  Skills learned in the classroom will be reinforced in the live fire range time session included in this class.

Whether you have never held a gun before or have experience and want to refine your skills, this class will help you start and gain confidence in your ability to handle firearms safely.

Class Schedule
Class will run for six hours. We will break approximately every 60 - 90 minutes.

Required Gear
Classroom - Government issued identification, note taking materials, good attitude and an open mind. Range - handgun, holster, ammunition, eye and hearing protection, closed-toe shoes and, optionally, a hat/cap.
